Becoming Anti-Racist is a journey, a life-long commitment to "do justice". We are not all starting from the same place or life experiences and that is okay. We are simply asking you to lean in and open yourself up to learning. We're sharing resources and encouragement, hosting trainings and events and taking action to help each of us become Anti-Racist. Dream Keepers Panel

The St. Luke’s Dream Keepers Panel was developed in 2020 out of St. Luke’s commitment to becoming an anti-racist church and to supporting and expanding diversity of color within our congregation. The Dream Keepers Panel seeks to provide a space for people of color to share perspectives on how they see the dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. being lived out in our community today. It also offers an opportunity for St. Luke’s white community to deepen their understanding of the lived reality of their neighbors of color.

The Indiana Remembrance Coalition

We are committed to remembering and acknowledging past and present racism, including racial violence, in Central Indiana. We engage our community through education, reflection, dialogue, and advocacy to promote healing and justice.

The Indiana Remembrance Coalition was formed by a group of community-focused individuals who felt that it was vital to acknowledge and address the difficult heritage of lynching here in Indianapolis. By doing so, the IRC hopes to facilitate a means of healing for affected individuals and communities. Click here to view our Executive Summary.
